This is already the second year, that Armenian Community of Georgia applies to the President of Georgia and the Parliament, with a request  to discuss the issue of Armenian Genocide done in Ottoman Empire. The letter has been sent to the President, the Parliament Speaker and the parliamentary factions, as well as Armenian parliamentary deputies of Georgia with the initiative request of the Bill.

“We; undersigned organizations of the Armenian Community of Georgia, for the sake of justice and democratic values, call upon you to join an international civil society initiative and to undertake in the Parliament of Georgia discussions about the issue of Armenian Genocide done in Ottoman Empire” says the massage.

The Armenian Organizations of Georgia call upon the Armenian parliamentary deputies of Georgia to raise a statement before 24^th of April, during the parliamentary sessions and to call the parliament to respect of the memory of the victims of Armenian Genocide in 1915-1923.

The initiator of the massage “Armenian Community of Georgia” is a public organization. The following organizations join to the initiative of the ACG: “Armenian Cooperation Center of Georgia”, “Armenian Students Association of Georgia” , " Armenian youngsters  Union of Georgia”, “Armenian Youth Union of  Georgia", "Unity of Georgian Armenians “Nor Serund” and “the Assembly of Tbilisi Armenians”.

The first genocide of the century is being marked on April 24^th; 96 year since the implementation of the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1923.

More than 2 million people had been abolished from their own historical homeland because of the Genocide. The Genocide is qualified as a crime against humanity, and a crime against humanity has no time limitation.

Till nowadays the Armenian Genocide has been recognized by more than 20 countries as well as by international organizations, including the European Parliament and the Council of Europe: the process of the discussion and recognition is going on in many counties such as, the United States, Israel, Spain, Bulgaria, Serbia, etc.
